The legacy of Tulsidas lies in reminding us that God resides where truth, love and humility dwell. Delhi Public School Asansol observed Tulsi Jayanti with devotion through a special assembly that honoured the life and legacy of Goswami Tulsidas, the great saint-poet who composed Ramcharitmanas. The day holds immense significance as his work brought the ideals of Lord Ram closer to the common people, inspiring generations with their moral and spiritual wisdom. The assembly began with a soulful ‘bhajan’ by the school choir. A speech highlighted Lord Ram as ‘Purushottam’—the ideal man—and urged all to follow virtues like truth, humility, sacrifice and righteousness. The main attraction was a dramatic presentation of the ‘Bharat-Kaikeyi Samvad’ that depicted the emotional impact of Ram’s exile, evoking empathy and reflection. ‘Chaupais’ from Ramcharitmanas were also recited with devotion. The honourable Principal, Ms Vineeta Srivastava addressed the gathering, highlighting that the life of Tulsidas stands as a beacon of inspiration, imparting the values of truth, righteousness and reverence for relationships. She urged everyone to embrace these ideals in their daily lives. The assembly beautifully blended spirituality and performance, leaving a lasting impression on all.
