On May 9, 2025, Delhi Public School, Asansol, celebrated the 164th birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore with great reverence and enthusiasm. The event beautifully reflected the spirit of Tagore through a vibrant blend of music, poetry, dance, and intellect. The celebration began with Prarthana (Prayer) and Sapath (Oath), setting a solemn and respectful tone. A melodious Welcome Song based on Rabindra Sangeet followed, capturing Tagore’s musical essence. Students presented a heartfelt recitation of Tagore’s powerful poem "Bir Purush", and a harmonious Geeti Aleekho (choir) performance enchanted the audience. A graceful dance performance, led by M/s. Bithika Banerjee alongside students, paid tribute to Tagore’s artistic legacy. The celebration also included a lively Quiz Round focused on Tagore’s life and contributions, engaging young minds in a fun and educational way. The event concluded with a warm Vote of Thanks, leaving everyone inspired by Tagore’s timeless vision of creativity, courage, and universal harmony.
