"A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people." — Mahatma Gandhi Delhi Public School Asansol conducted a special assembly to mark World Heritage Day, also known as the International Day for Monuments and Sites. The day emphasized the importance of preserving our cultural and natural heritage. The assembly began with a prayer and a pledge, followed by a presentation on the significance of protecting heritage sites. Students displayed drawings of renowned heritage sites such as the Taj Mahal, Pyramids of Giza, Valley of Flowers, Kaziranga National Park and the Great Wall of China prepared by them. A short quiz was also conducted to enhance students’ awareness about world heritage. The celebration inspired students to appreciate global heritage and understand the importance of its conservation for future generations.
