In the heart of every citizen lies the spirit of the Republic, strong and unyielding. The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great fervor at Delhi Public School Asansol. The event commenced with a patriotic song, followed by a vibrant dance performance by students using lezim, symbolizing unity and energy. DPSites displayed the tricolor creatively with saffron, white and green cloth, representing the national flag. The captivating performances left the audience enthralled. Certificates and prizes were distributed for the English, Hindi and Bengali recitations. On this occasion, the honourable Principal of DPS Asansol, Vineeta Srivastava, delivered a speech, reminding students of the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the vision of leader Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, whose efforts ensured equality and fundamental rights for all. She urged the juniors to follow the school's constitution, much like the nation's, and to respect everyone, making the country proud. A special announcement marked National Girl Child Day—DPS Asansol will initiate a Hashtag Campaign for the Girl Child in the 2025-26 session to create awareness about the challenges faced by girls. The program will also extend support to a nearby village in Ethora, addressing issues affecting women and girls.
