The event commemorated the legacy of one of India’s greatest freedom fighters and highlighted his immense contributions to the nation. The assembly began with a stirring rendition of the patriotic song ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja’ by the school choir, instilling a sense of pride among all present. This was followed by a thematic dance performance, culminating in a human pyramid that symbolized Netaji’s vision of unity and resilience. A quiz on Netaji’s life and struggles was also conducted, adding an interactive and informative element to the program. The honourable Principal Ms Vineeta Srivastava in her address, paid homage to Netaji, highlighting his unparalleled bravery and charisma that inspired countless individuals to join the freedom struggle. She urged the students and staff to honor Netaji’s legacy by committing to the nation’s progress and led the gathering in a solemn pledge. The pledge focused on preserving India’s heritage, being honest citizens, respecting fellow citizens, protecting the environment, promoting equality and justice and contributing actively to the country’s development. Adding to the day’s celebrations, the Principal distributed awards for two prestigious events. The winners of ‘Finding Picasso’ were recognized for their exceptional creativity, while Delhi Public School Asansol was declared the proud champion of the ‘Inter-School Karate Championship 2025’.The assembly concluded with a deep sense of patriotism and admiration for Netaji.
