On Friday 21.11.25, Delhi Public School Asansol conducted the TAS (Transmission Assessment Survey) program for filaria screening for students of classes I and II. Two medical teams, with seven members each, visited the school as a part of this important health initiative Dr Asha Kumari and Dr Piyali Chakraborty were among the medical professionals who conducted the immediate tests. A total of 57 students were tested and all results were negative bringing reassurance to the school community. The program was organized under the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the West Bengal Health Centre, with WHO representative Mr. Amirul Khan present during the survey. Encouraged and supported by our respected Principal Ma'am Mrs. Vineeta Srivastava, the initiative helped spread awareness about early detection and the importance of preventive healthcare among young students.
