Delhi Public School Asansol celebrated International Yoga Day with immense zeal and participation. The event was organized House-wise-Ganga, Jhelum, Ravi and Yamuna and was divided into three categories to ensure enthusiastic involvement from students across all age groups. The program commenced with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra under the inspiring guidance and direction of our respected Principal, Mrs. Vineeta Srivastava, whose constant encouragement motivated students to participate wholeheartedly. Students of Nursery to Preparatory II demonstrated foundational yoga postures such as Padmasana, Vajrasana, and Sukhasana. Students of Classes III to VII performed Matsyasana, Dhanurasana, and Vrikshasana, showcasing balance, flexibility, and strength. Students of Classes VIII to XII presented more advanced asanas including Parsva Janu Sirsasana, Halasana, and Sarvangasana, displaying remarkable discipline and concentration. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the Houses, reflecting the students’ commitment to health and wellness. It served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of incorporating yoga into everyday life for holistic development. The school extends its sincere gratitude to the respected Principal for her visionary leadership, unwavering support, and guidance, which contributed significantly to the successful celebration of International Yoga Day.
