The morning commenced on an electrifying note with the sacred Chandi Path chanted by Adrish Sen of Class VI. His powerful cadence left everyone spellbound, sending palpable goosebumps through the audience and instantly elevating the gathering into a realm of divine tranquility. Carrying this momentum forward, melodious choir of students of classes V-VI presented the Durga Vandana. Accompanied by rhythmic traditional instruments, their youthful voices wove an aura of purity and profound grace. The stage then came alive with a dramatic enactment of Mahishasura Mardini by students of classes III-VI, depicting the timeless battle between righteousness and malevolence. Shifting the tempo to sheer celebration, the junior dance troupe of classes III-IV delivered a spirited, joyful performance that brimmed with innocence and festive warmth. The devotional fervor deepened once more as the Class VIII choir presented a stirring rendition of the Durga Chalisa, showcasing remarkable discipline and harmony. In her address, Principal, Mrs.Vineeta Srivastava ma'am urged students to look inward, noting that true evil resides within rather than around us. Challenging the gathering to move beyond mere rituals, she asked everyone to reflect on three simple questions: What personal weakness must I conquer? Have I ever hurt someone weaker than me? Can I make others feel respected and safe? She emphasized that honoring Ma Durga truly begins with everyday empathy and conquering our inner darkness. The celebration reached a joyous crescendo with an energetic Dhunuchi Nach performed by the teachers of Delhi Public School, Asansol. Swirling to the rhythmic beats of the dhak, the educators bridged the gap between mentor and disciple, drawing the audience into a collective celebration of triumph, unity, and shared faith.
