“TRADITION MEETS INNOCENCE” Just as every auspicious beginning starts with the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Delhi Public School Asansol kickstarted the festive season with Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The observance commenced with the traditional, energetic dhol-tasha beats, setting a festive mood and capturing the rich cultural spirit of India. Our little DPSites added rhythm and charm to the ceremony with their performances. The graceful duet dance by Varanya and Adrika and the energetic showcase on “Deva Shree Ganesha” by pre-primary students was truly mesmerizing. The girls looked beautiful in Lavani-inspired sarees while the boys looked smart in their vibrant orange kurtas. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for their love and efforts in making the children look so beautiful and special. The highlight of the morning was our Principal Ma’am’s warm and impromptu interaction with the children. Rather than a conventional speech, she turned the moment into a beautiful question-and-answer session, asking them why we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, why Lord Ganesha is worshipped first, why He has a large head and what He teaches us. Through these simple yet thought-provoking questions, she gently unfolded lessons of wisdom, respect and perseverance, reminding the children that with wisdom and the guidance of parents, teachers and elders, even life’s obstacles can be overcome. The school extends special appreciation to the Pre-Primary teachers, Ms.Shreya, Ms.Barnali, Ms.Moupiya and activity teachers Ms.Taniya, Ms.Bitthika and Mr.Shekhar for their dedicated and thoughtful efforts. It was a beautiful morning where tradition met innocence and celebration met learning. A heartfelt thank you to our Principal, Mrs.Vineeta Srivastava Ma’am for always creating moments that make our little learners think, participate and discover. Her unique way of turning every occasion into an opportunity for learning makes each celebration truly meaningful.
